Afternoon Darjeeling, often referred to by tea connoisseurs as the "Champagne of Teas", is a black tea grown in the high regions at the foothills of the Himalayas in North East India. The cool mountain air at this altitude slows down the growth of the tea bushes allowing a fuller flavour to develop. The climate and altitude produces a small crop resulting in an exclusive and more expensive tea. The delicate flavor is subtle and often compared to muscatel grapes.
